For her master's thesis, Cheyenne worked on creating an environmental sampling technique for the quantification of S. Japonicum using qPCR in mainland China.
Cheyenne is currently investigating the molecular epidemiology of antibiotic resistance in uropathogenic E.coli and other organisms causing UTI in the Bay Area. Her interests lie in elucidating the distribution and frequency of resistance mechanisms found in patience urine samples from hospitals in the area and comparing acute and chronic-care patients.
